After three years of begging by my wife, I decided to give in and we painted the kitchen!  The whole house was originally done in extremely flat white paint that marked if you looked at it wrong!  I guess the living room and dining rooms are next.

We painted the "accent" walls in the living room and dinning rooms.  The main large walls will be painted later in the Spring, they will be a light beige color giving us three different shades of brown tones in the large open room.

Uncle Sam was kind enough to supply us with most of the money (2007 Federal Refund) needed to purchase a new washer and dryer set, got a nice deal during a Presidents Day sale @ HHGregg.  Front loading high efficiency Frigidaire's in black, very slick. By stacking and centering them we now had room to add much needed storage and shelving!  Using the shelving rails made it very easy to put in the shelves and now we can add more shelves or move them around without additional drilling or measuring.
